Project Overview

Project Title

Amnesia: Restored is the restoration of Thomas M. Disch's original text adventure game originally published by Electronic Arts in 1986. The project rebuilt the game in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript making it accessible to contemporary audiences.

A brilliant team of students from Washington State University Vancouver brought this project to life. I was brought on to assist this team as the UX/UI designer and mentor, and worked closely with the game development and design teams to craft an interface that felt true to the retro experience of classic text adventure computer games, while incorporating more familiar aspects of modern game experiences.
